Those that are more confident are willing to create 2-cour+ seasons. Just that it is difficult to do so without a big budget and these days(unlike few years back) majority of series are only 1-cour seasons, and depending on how long the source is, this indicates the mindset of the studio that made it. Anime that stick to the source throughout do exist after all. That, or they decide to wing it in order to keep some difference and end up giving a completely different approach from the LNs or in some cases VNs. Only issue is that manga tend to get axed or only serve as a preview or shortened version of the source(Meaning you miss out on quite a bit of the intricately detailed characterization and world building) In which case they change the plot. Manga adaptations generally do better than the anime ones due to not having time constraints or too many budget problems and cause the number of people involved is smaller. In other words, she wants a Master-Servant relationship similar to that of BDSM/S&M (the softcore one, like 'Nana to Kaoru'). Then you are going to like the rest of the chapters, after Her not getting Ash would be a problem on that front. If you take that form of thinking to its next logical conclusion, the story might be setting her up to be the victor, because you then need to ask why she was incarnated that way. I do like the princess, and I like her and Ash's backstory, but in the end, I really do hope it's Eiko who wins out. Going to be honest I feel like she's way off because that is the only reason why the dragon mother would have incarnated her that way. Right now she feels like she can't be romantically involved with him since she's not human. What the maid said to her basically took her inferiority complex and forced her to bear the brunt of it. She wants a role in Ash's life that is at least equal to the other girls, so she projects that image as if to say "Ash is mine", as flimsy as it is. All "being the master" means to her is leveling the playing field. Not his pet, not his par, nor his master, but his equal. She actually just wants to be Ash's equal.
